Dr. Heamee Kang Kim, Conductor & Music Director
Dr. Heamee Kang Kim graduated from Yonsei University (B.M.), majored in organ performance and earned the Masters (M.M) and Doctor of Musical Art ( D.M.A ) from Manhattan School of Music. Her doctoral thesis was “The Symphony for Organ and Orchestra and Solo Works of Aaron Copland.” She learned organ music with professor Sang-Soo Kwak , Frederick Grimes, and McNeil Robinson. She had a master class with Jean Guillo at Riverside Church in NYC. Also, she studied conducting with Dr. Dennis Keene at Manhattan School of Music . In June 2011, she was elected as 40 conductors in the world to participate at the 2011 summer conducting workshop of the Juilliard School for music educators. As a concert artist, she has performed organ concerts at Church of Ascension and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in NYC as well as many organ concerts in USA. In recent years, she was invited for organ concerts at Inchon Naeree Methodist Church, Kyung Dong Church, and Seoul Church in Seoul, Korea. In June 27, 2011, She gave a Pipe Organ Concert at Torch Mission Concert Hall in Seoul, Korea. In September 10,2013, She had a Pipe Organ Concert at Naree Methodist Church in Incheon, Korea
As a conductor, she led Yonsei USA Chamber Chorus from 2004~2010 and Korean Community
Center(KCC) ‘s Junior, Youth Orchestra & Chorus from 2005~2016 in NJ. She also conducted a concert at Carnegie Hall for Yonsei USA Chamber Chorus’ Mission Concert in 2006 & 2007. In 2008 & 2010 she directed the Underwood Chamber Chorus, a professional chorus at NJ Chodae Community Church & NY Presbyterian Church as a mission concert for the Next Generation. She founded the Underwood Orchestra with full orchestra members in 2011 and lead the orchestra concerts at NJ Chodae Community Church from 2011 to 2019.
At present, she is serving at Chodae Community Church in NJ as the Organist & Music Director of Youth Orchestra & Chorus as well as Music Director of AACC Junior, Youth Orchestra & Chorus and the Underwood Orchestra.
Dr. Hyunjung Joo, Violin

Born in South Korea, Hyun Joon Shin has performed in Hungary, China, Hong Kong, South
Korea, and United States, on notable stages, including Stern Auditorium, Zankel
Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music
Center, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater
at Kimmel Center as a chamber musician and soloist. During his teenager, he often
performed in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, and Weihai in China and moved to
Budapest to study with Eszter Perenyi at Liszt Academy of Music.
He won the first prize at International
Korean Music Academy and Seoul National music competition. He was a fellowship
recipient of Texas Music Festival, Duxbury Music Festival, and Atlantic Music
Festival. He has appeared at a collaborated performance with Lambert Orkis, who
is a main collaborative pianist of Ann-Sophie Mutter.
Mr. Shin was a scholarship recipient and
earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Temple University under Richard Amoroso
and Master of Music degree under Lucie Robert at Manhattan School of Music with
Dean’s List honors. His coachings and masterclasses from members of American
String Quartet, Ying Quartet, Arnold Steinhart, Carmit Zori, Andrezej Grabiec,
Gerald Robbins, Cho-Liang Lin, Lambert Orkis, Frank Almond, Pamela Frank, and
name a few.
Mr. Shin previously served at Korean
National Police Orchestra and currently completing his Artist Diploma under
Todd Phillips on full scholarship at Rutgers University, where he was also a
teaching assistant. He occasionally teaches at Mannes Pre-college as a substitute
teacher and is a faculty at AACC Youth Orchestra, Love Violin, USA, and Rutgers
Community Arts.
Sun Young Hwang, Violin
Violinist Sun Young Hwang is a native of Daegu, Republic of Korea and graduated Kyungbook Arts High School, Manhattan School of Music and Mannes School of Music. She was awarded in Daegu Music association competition, Youngnam University competition and few other competitions in Korea. Also, she was awarded in New York International Music Competition and Manhattan International Music Competition. Ms. Hwang has performed with Sussung philharmonic orchestra, Daegu Opera Festival Orchestra and Daegu Venus Orchestra. She also performing as orchestra member and ensemble member around New York City.
She is second year of Artist Diploma at SUNY Purchase with Carmit Zori.Faculty of AACC since 2020.

Juhyun Lee, Voice
Juhyun Lee performs as a lyric
soprano in the United States and South Korea.
She has received her master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music and bachelor’s degree from Ewha Woman’s University.
Her current operatic roles include Norina from <Don Pasquale>, Radamisto from <Radamisto> , Zerlina from <Don Giovanni>, Gretel from <Hansel und Gretel>, Giannetta from <L’elisir D’amore>, Pamina from <Die Zauberflote>, Susanna from <Le Nozze di Figaro>. She also has appeared in variety of concerts in Carnegie hall, National Opera America Center, Seoul Art Center.
She has worked with students from elementary school children to adult amateurs and semi pros. She specialize in working with students to develop a solid technical and musical understanding through creating a specialized and personal program for each student.
